How does Standing Ovation work?

A rail overhead. Both hands free.

Standing Ovation was developed to reduce physical strain at work, without limiting the user's natural freedom of movement.

The system works together with an overhead rail system and supports part of the body weight while standing and moving. This reduces the load on muscles, joints and tendons, while employees can carry on working actively.

The result is a comfortable working posture in which support and movement go hand in hand. An organisation lowers the daily load without having to reorganise the work.

In three simple steps

This is how Standing Ovation works

  1. 1

    Step 1 – Moving naturally

The overhead rail system moves smoothly with every step and every movement within the workspace. The user therefore keeps moving freely while working, while support is always available where it is needed.

Standing Ovation follows the user, not the other way round.

  2. 2

    Step 2 – Smart support

While standing and moving, Standing Ovation supports part of the body weight. This reduces the load on muscles, joints and tendons, while the user keeps moving actively and stays in control.

The degree of support is matched to the work, the user and the support required.

  3. 3

Step 3 – Keep working healthily

When physical strain goes down, comfort at work goes up. Employees can carry out their tasks in a healthy way for longer, without losing natural movement.

People keep moving freely through the room, while the load on legs, hips and back goes down.

Projects

Standing Ovation on site

Two installations from practice: from the first assembly of the rail system to employees working with it every day.

A production hall

Free-standing gantry · Industry

At a company that builds trailers, the system could not be fixed to the ceiling: overhead cranes run above the shop floor. So it stands on its own legs — four columns carrying a gantry, with a traverse rail beneath. Not a single hole was drilled in the building.

A professional kitchen

X-Y system · Hospitality

Above a kitchen line, two rails are mounted at right angles, one sliding over the other. The mobility support therefore does not move along a single line: the chef can reach every point in his kitchen.
